I have been working almost nonstop for the past month. As I write this I am currently just lounging in my room trying to enjoy my fourth day off in the past month. Yes, I work six days a week. Who would have thought, me, working so many hours and little to no complaining. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME? To outsiders my new career may seem undesirable, but I love it. My coworkers are fantastic and this career path has a truly bright future.
But there are still many things that I need to work on. For one, how much have I accomplished in what little time I do have off? Basically nothing. My first two Sundays off were spent lounging around my house watching television and eating real meals. Last Sunday I went to the outlet mall to celebrate my first paycheck. Today? Well, I AM writing this blog post, so that's at least something. I will be going out to dinner to celebrate a friend's new job and if I can motivate myself to FINALLY clean out my car... Well, we shall see.
I do need to find a way to be more productive in my personal life as well as my professional life. Thankfully, I am slowly beginning to form clear-cut goals. Before it was always just to go to Italy and not much else. Now I am thinking more about the long-term... And still of going back to Italy, who am I kidding? But now I am actually turning into one of those people who has an idea about how the next five years of their lives will go. Obviously not everything can be planned for, but you get what I'm saying.
If you know me at ALL, you will know that I don't plan on being in Ohio for longer than necessary, so there is clear-cut goal number one. Student loans will not be ignored, so there is clear-cut goal number two. Besides those two, though, the rest of my goals are slowly beginning to take shape; also taking into consideration that stuff will happen to change or adapt them.
So yeah, that's where I'm at right now. What's new with you?
